Vintage car parade to benefit Corner Pantry

LIME ROCK — In 2011, when Lime Rock Park President Skip Barber first had staffers organize a parade of vintage sports cars and race cars through Lakeville and Salisbury on the Thursday prior to the long Labor Day weekend, the idea was simply to have a fun, community involved kick-off to the “Historic Festival” weekend, a Northwest Corner fixture for 35 years. 

In addition to the festival competitors, local people who owned sports cars — models from the mid-1970s and older — were encouraged to enter the parade at no charge.
