Learning the ways of Indian Rock Schoolhouse at picnic and community day

AMENIA — For roughly 20 years, Amenia residents have celebrated the Indian Rock Schoolhouse with an annual picnic and community day at the schoolhouse grounds on Mygatt Road. 

Ann Linden, who helps organize the event and was instrumental in the schoolhouse restoration years ago, was again on hand for the festivities this month.

“I think it’s great,” she said, wishing more people were in attendance on Saturday, Aug. 12.
