Electrical fire quickly extinguished

MILLERTON— Before morning gave way into afternoon on Thursday, Aug. 3, the Scassos of 5808 Route 22 dealt with an unexpected electrical fire.

According to First Assistant Chief Jim Milton, the North East Fire Company immediately responded to the scene when the call came in at 11:46 a.m. However, firemen found the fire was under control, basically extinguished.

“By the time I got here, the homeowner had already gotten the fire out,” Milton said. “She got water on it instantly.”
