Bear-ly there

The NorthEast-Millerton Library couldn’t have asked for nicer weather to host a Teddy Bear Picnic on Tuesday morning, Aug. 1. Children brought their favorite teddies to color pictures and put together puzzles. Once the children were gathered on the rug with their favorite stuffed animals, Youth Services Coordinator Kristin McClune read aloud from a selection of bear stories. When it was time for the teddy bears to have their picnic, a few children sat on the library steps to enjoy their snacks while others chose to stay indoors.
