Special guest and Westchester County elementary school art teacher Elaine Devine Laux read a number of storybooks to local children at the Amenia Free Library on Friday, July 14. Among those enraptured by the storytelling were 6-year old Zackary Lattrell, 3-year-old Delila Freedom and her father, Nathaniel. Devine Laux, daughter of Amenia Library Director Miriam Devine, has been reading stories and doing crafts at the library for more than 20 years. On Friday, July 21, the library will welcome the Sharon Audubon Center with its hawk and owl exhibit.
