There is hope for a state budget soon

LAKEVILLE — State Sen. Craig Miner (R-30) and state Rep. Brian Ohler (R-64) expressed cautious optimism that the Connecticut General Assembly will put together a state budget when it reconvenes Tuesday, July 18.

Miner and Ohler were both interviewed by phone on Friday, July 7.

The Legislature failed to agree on a budget plan during the regular session and during a special session that ended June 30, which is also the end of the fiscal year.
