Gov. Malloy proposing to cut state aid to town

WINSTED —  Gov. Dannel P. Malloy (D) is proposing to cut fiscal aid to the town for fiscal 2017–2018  by $500,000, according to Finance Director Bruce Stratford.

In his report to the Board of Selectmen during its meeting on Monday, May 15, Stratford spoke about Malloy’s proposed cut.

On May 15, Malloy issued revised budget estimates for fiscal 2017–2018, including revised estimates of state aid to municipalities.
