Gilbert tennis scores win over Thomaston

WINSTED — The Gilbert School girls tennis team (2-7) dropped Thomaston (0-8) 4-3, on Friday, April 28, giving the burgeoning Yellowjackets a shot of confidence as the program continues to grow.

Gilbert’s top singles player, junior Ava Christensen, led the Yellowjackets by winning her match with Thomaston’s Jessica Ciavarella 6-2, 6-2, and Gilbert’s doubles teams won three out of four matches to pull out the victory.
