Two NCCC students earn scholarship awards

WINSTED —  In late March, Northwestern Connecticut Community College (NCCC) announced that two of its students earned Coca-Cola New Century Scholars Scholarship awards through Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), which is the honor society for two-year colleges.

Resident Jess Tessman, 20, won a place on the All-USA Community College Academic Team.

Tessman, who graduated from Oliver Wolcott Technical School in 2014, is a human services major.

As part of the award, Tessman has earned a $2,000 scholarship.
