Webutuck teacher arrested for ‘forcibly touching’ students


WEBUTUCK — Two students from the North East (Webutuck) Central School District have charged  that high school science teacher Craig Trachtenberg inappropriately touched them. Trachtenberg, 57, was arrested on Tuesday, March 28, at the New York State Police Dover Plains barracks. 

A resident of Hyde Park, Trachtenberg has taught at Webutuck High School for roughly 30 years. He was charged with two counts of forcible touching and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
