WINSTED — The Connecticut League of History Organizations (CLHO) has given an award of merit for individual achievement to Winchester Historical Society Trustee Milly Hudak.

The award was announced by CLHO in late February.

The society’s building is located in the Solomon Rockwell House, located at 225 Prospect St.

The house, built in 1786, is a 13-room mansion. A main house, carriage house and house of easement were all added in 1813.

The house itself is now a museum filled with various items throughout Winsted’s history.
