Town mourns loss of Gary Keeler

PINE PLAINS — The community of Pine Plains is mourning the loss of Gary Keeler, the water company superintendent, who passed away at home at the age of 66 on Sunday, March 5.

“I was very surprised,” said Town Clerk Judy Harpp, who had known Keeler since high school. “He was behind me in school, but I always knew who he was, being from a Pine Plains family.”

Years later, the two worked together as bus drivers for the Pine Plains Central School District.
