Lions, bears and pickles at Kent Center School read-aloud event

March is national Read Aloud month, which many area schools observe by inviting area adults to read to students in their classrooms. 

Kent Center School hosted its event on Friday, March 3, with 13 community members reading to students in grades preschool to six. 

In recent years, books had been donated by the Northwest Chamber of Commerce and Alcoa Howmet in Winsted. This year, books were provided by the Kent Chamber of Commerce and selected by event organizer Ane Starr and school librarian Betsy Morrow.
