Circling around to hear a story at Sharon Center

Sharon Center School celebrated national Read Aloud month on Wednesday, March 1, with adults from the community reading aloud to students in their classrooms. 

For past read-aloud events, books had been provided by the Northwest Connecticut  Chamber of Commerce and Alcoa Howmet in Winsted.

This year, those organizations were not able to support the local events. Sharon Center School’s librarian, Judy Gafney, was undeterred and purchased the new books with funds from the library’s budget.
