Gilbert boys varsity basketball trounced by Terryville
WINSTED — The Gilbert School varsity boys basketball team (1-17) couldn’t hold on to an eight-point third-quarter lead against Terryville (9-10) on Friday, Feb. 17, falling by a score of 57-66.
A desperation rally sparked by sophomore Ryley Weiss, who scored 24, including nine in the fourth quarter, was still not enough to bring the game back, as the Kangaroos held on and matched Gilbert’s barrage of outside shooting with their own talented scorers.
