Energy performance contract approved by BOE


PINE PLAINS — The Pine Plains Board of Education (BOE) announced the approval of the proposed energy performance contract with Siemens during its regular meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 15. Siemens is the largest manufacturing and electronics company in Europe, with branch offices here in the U.S.

The discussion began as Martin Handler, superintendent of schools, invited project coordinators Steve Heaslip and Bill Tangney to speak along with the board’s engineering consultant, Aldo Mazzaferro.
