Rule would increase safety of short-term recovery rentals

A new ordinance regulating multitenant rehabilitation and recovery facilities is being crafted by North Canaan Resident State Trooper Greg Naylor, Town Attorney Judith Dixon and Assistant State’s Attorney Judith Dicine.

In an interview at Town Hall last week, Naylor stressed that the proposed ordinance is not meant to discourage people who are in recovery from finding someplace to stay while they are either waiting for admission to a facility such as Mountainside or after they have completed their program.
