Counterfeit bill passed, arrest made

WINSTED —  A Southington resident was arrested at the CVS at 47 Main St. for allegedly passing a counterfeit $20 bill to a cashier on Monday, Feb. 13.

According to a press release issued by Police Chief William Fitzgerald, the arrest occurred during Officer Daniel Pietrafesa’s routine patrol of Main Street.

Fitzgerald wrote that when Pietrafesa walked into the store, he was called over by a CVS employee.
