Stissing Mountain celebrates Chinese New Year

PINE PLAINS — In celebration of cultural diversity, students from the Pine Plains Central School District gathered with their families and friends to observe the 2017 Chinese New Year on Friday, Feb. 3. 

The district offers a Mandarin Chinese program for students in grades seven through 12. In its second year, the Chinese New Year celebration in the middle/high school cafeteria was aimed to further inform students about the Asian culture.
