Webutuck capital improvements project voted down at the polls
WEBUTUCK — In late October, the North East (Webutuck) Central School District Facilities Committee presented an $8.5 million capital improvements project to the Board of Education. Taxpayers took to the polls on Wednesday, Dec. 14, to decide the fate of that proposal. A total of 417 voters turned out to cast their ballots, with 236 people voting against the project and stopping it from progressing, at least temporarily. A total of 181 voters were for the project.
