Webutuck finalizes budget


WEBUTUCK — For the third Monday in a row, the North East (Webutuck) Central School District Board of Education (BOE) reworked next year’s budget.

The proposed 2016-17 budget, which will be put to a vote by the BOE on Monday, April 4, amounts to $21,633,679. That’s an increase of $251,601, or 1.18 percent, from last year’s budget.

The tax levy is projected to be $13,194,751, a 1.98 percent increase from last year.
