Salisbury Bank opens renovated branch

SALISBURY — Salisbury Bank and Trust opened its newly renovated Salisbury village branch onMonday morning, June 2.

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John Perotti cut the blue ribbon just outside the building. It was adorned with a fluttering collection of $20 bills. Mary Harvey and Kim Fiertz, who are presidents of the board, expressed their gratitude.

“Salisbury Family Services is honored to accept this donation from Salisbury Bank, which will help us in our mission to help those people in our community by fostering the development of of a healthy lifestyle, and providing financial aid for needy individuals and families,â€ they said in a press release.

Renovations at the branch include individual teller stations, a seating area outfitted with cozy chairs, a new flat-screen television and a relaxing and spacious fish tank.

Also new: energy-efficient lighting and an inviting color scheme.

Mortgage advisor Mona Staaf-Hoffman and the Mortgage Makers office is now attached to the branch, so all of the bank’s services are available in one place.

Perotti remarked, “We are very excited about this design, which is a new concept in branch banking. Instead of the all-too-common experience of rushing in and out as quickly as possible, we are creating a bright, warm and welcoming atmosphere that will allow customers to slow down and relax for a few minutes.
