Webutuck BOE prepares for Common Core presentation

The North East (Webutuck) Central School District Board of Education (BOE) gathered Wednesday, Jan. 22, for its regular business meeting.

Student Council President senior Andrew Coon reported a noticeable increase in field trips — an effort the board has recently talked about expanding.

Coon’s advanced placement (AP) biology class recently visited SUNY New Paltz for its molecular genetics enrichment program.

“Also for field trips, the Spanish and German classes are planning to see the [United Nations] building in New York City next week,” the student said.
