Surplus expected for Region One

FALLS VILLAGE — At a special meeting of the Region One Board of Education Tuesday, Aug. 7, Region One Business Manager Sam Herrick said the school district is anticipating a surplus of about $266,000 for the 2011-12 fiscal year, which ended June 30.

Housatonic Valley Regional High School has a projected surplus of $39,863; Pupil Services, $229,155; and the Regional Schools Services Center a deficit of $2,798.

The total surplus is $266,220.
