Winchester Republicans join playground restoration effort

WINSTED — Members of the Winchester Republican Town Committee (RTC) are putting a positive spin on their summer by helping with a revitalization effort at the Rowley Street playground.

RTC Secretary Lisa Smith said Tuesday that the group will join volunteers from the Revitalization of Rowley Street Playground Committee for an initial sprucing-up at the playground on Saturday, Aug. 18, at 9 a.m. Interested residents are invited to help repair, paint and reinforce the existing structures at the playground.
