Fun in the sun at summer camp

WINSTED — Summertime is a fun time for the 55 children who registered for Winchester Recreation Department’s summer camp, which is held weekdays at the department’s playground building at Rowley Field.

Each week, the camp is themed around games and activities, including sports and weekly trips to go swimming at Highland Lake.

Campers also go out for field trips every Friday and so far have gone to places such as Roller Magic in Waterbury and Action Wildlife in Goshen.
