LAKEVILLE — To fully appreciate all the work that Donald and Helen Ross have done on Holleywood, a historically significant house on the shores of Lakeville Lake, it helps to know how utterly run-down it had become by last winter, when it was first put up for sale.

And to say “first put up for sale” has special meaning for this house, known as Holleywood, which had not been out of the hands of Holley family members since the mid-1800s, when it was built.
