Fresh and fun times at Farmers Market

NEW HARTFORD — Now on its fifth year, the New Hartford Farmers Market is back in business every Friday night this summer, offering produce and goods from local vendors.

According to organizer Anita Barden, 13 vendors are currently taking part in this year’s weekly market.

“I think having a market in New Hartford is wonderful because it offers residents a place to socialize and to get to know their neighbors,” Barden said. “You can also get plenty of locally grown food here in a really nice setting. To me, local farmers are the backbone of America.”
