KENT — Actress and Northwest Corner resident Meryl Streep captivated the audience of about 500 people when she appeared onstage at Kent Center School June 24 as part of the Kent Memorial Library’s 2012 Great Performances series.

Streep, wearing a cool patterned summer top and slacks, sat back comfortably in an armchair onstage as Litchfield County resident and author Frank Delaney asked wide-ranging questions about her life and career.
