NORTH CANAAN — In a twist on the ongoing Trescott Hill Road wetlands issue (see story, Page A8), the property in question was turned into a planting field last week, and neighbor Bernard Re was charged with trespassing after attempting to stop further wetlands encroachment.
Re’s concerns about the environmental impacts there were upheld by the Inland Wetland Commission (IW), which recognized the wetlands encroachment, filed a cease-and-desist order and began working on gaining regulatory control of the situation through a special permit application.
