Local athlete returns home, shines in first game as Titan

TORRINGTON — Torrington High School graduate Conor Bierfeldt recently returned home from college and joined the Torrington Titans this summer for their third Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) season.

The former Torrington High School baseball standout just finished a brilliant baseball season as a junior at Western Connecticut State University, where he posted a .430 batting average with 10 home runs and 50 RBIs, propelling him to achieve All-American honors for Division III.
