Amenia’s annual Strawberry Fair a sweet success

AMENIA — A steady sprinkling of light rain didn’t stop residents from enjoying tasty treats at the United Presbyterian Church’s 39th annual Strawberry Fair on Saturday, June 9.

“This is the third year in a row we’ve had rain,” said organizer Helen Cook, who is an elder at the church and the moderator of the Women’s Association. “Despite that, everybody’s eating strawberry sundaes. Nobody seems to care about the rain.”
