Resignations for personal reasons

KENT — Two members of the Board of Education (BOE) announced their resignations at the board meeting June 7. Both said they are leaving for personal reasons.

Chairman Tracy Horosky said she is leaving Kent and relocating to the Danbury area. Carol Kallstrom said she is resigning because she accepted a new job, with the Region One School District central office. It could be a conflict of interest if she continued serving on the board.

Region One Superintendent Patricia Chamberlain presented certificates of appreciation and gifts to both retiring members.
