Papp sentenced in child porn case

WINSTED — Winsted resident Damon Papp, 43, has been sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty in February to possession of child pornography.

Papp was sentenced in Litchfield Superior Court on Friday, May 25.

While his complete sentence is 20 years, the judge in the case decided to suspend Papp’s jail sentence after five years.

After he serves his sentence, Papp will be on probation for 15 years.

Papp previously was working as a teacher at Eli Terry Jr. Middle School in Terryville.
