KENT — The Kent Historical Society hosted a talk about artist Rex Brasher on May 20 at Town Hall. Brasher (who was born in 1869 and died in 1960) gained fame as a painter of birds in their natural habitat. He was also a founder of the Kent Art Association.

Brasher’s great-nieces, Deborah and Melode Brasher, spoke about their great uncle, who lived until they were in their 20s, for more than an hour.
