Board business continues in Region One

FALLS VILLAGE — At its regular monthly meeting May 7, the Region One Board of Education denied a request from Susan Schullery of South Kent that her child be allowed to attend New Milford High School at Region One’s expense.

Schullery brought the matter to the board in April, saying that the New Milford school bus already goes right past her home and that the distance from South Kent to Housatonic Valley Regional High School meant, in practice, as much as a 45-minute trip each way, depending on traffic and road conditions.
