Buses, coaches’ resignation discussed

PINE PLAINS — The Pine Plains Board of Education (BOE) met on Wednesday, May 2, for the public hearing on the adopted 2012-13 budget.

Along with the budget, Pine Plains voters will be voting on a proposition to purchase six new buses for the district.

Former board member and current incumbent for the BOE Todd Bowen spoke up regarding the bus situation.

At previous meetings Bowen expressed a need for the board to show that the Department of Transportation should render a bus “decommissioned,” not the district employees.
