WINSTED — After expressing opposition to the town’s proposed budget for 2012-13 last week, Superintendent of Schools Tom Danehy has expressed a change of heart, giving his support to the $32.3 million proposal, which includes just over $20 million for the Winchester school district.
“I am in full support of the Board of Selectmen’s recommended budget,” Danehy said. “It’s shorter than what the district needs, but it’s a step in the right direction. It doesn’t do enough, but it’s something. That’s why I am supporting it.”
