What to do with storm debris


PINE PLAINS — The town is still dealing with the aftermath of early March storms, namely the downed trees and brush that have littered yards and roadways. Town Supervisor Gregg Pulver raised the issue at the Thursday, March 17, Town Board meeting.

“We received a letter regarding the continued efforts of leaf and brush disposal,” he said, adding there was an increased demand following the rain and ice storms that hit the region. “We are taking in both, and because of the storm [Highway Superintendent] Barry Hay mentioned he would collect [more].”
