Voters OK with 2011 budget


NORTH CANAAN — The wait is over. A town budget for the fiscal year that begins July 1 was approved at a town meeting May 31.

It was the third scheduled meeting, with town officials putting off a vote on $6.5 million in proposed local spending in the hopes that the state would resolve its budgeting issues.
