SALISBURY — Edwin Fitting quite badly cut his hand on broken glass at the water tub recently.

LIME ROCK — Mr. Buttery is in a New York hospital for treatment.

50 years ago — September 1961

A branch office of the National Iron Bank of Falls Village will not be opened in Salisbury Village at this time, according to word received from the Comptroller of the Currency. He has stated his office feels that at the moment the banking needs of the Salisbury area are adequately met with existing facilities.

LAKEVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. Judson Philips have purchased the Robert Speer property on Millerton Road and expect to move into their new home toward the end of October.

CANAAN — David Peppe, son of Dr. and Mrs. Vincent Peppe, showed and sold his Aberdeen Angus last week at the Springfield Fair. David received $243.60 for his steer.

CORNWALL — The 1986-87 ski season will be a very special one at Mohawk Mountain because it marks the celebration of the ski area’s 40th anniversary.
