At the Pine Plains Free Library, librarian Marguerite Hill holds weekly story hours in the children’s room. Keeping in line with the spring weather, Hill recently read to the children from a number of stories about planting in the garden. She then sent the children home with a better understanding of the flowers that bloom in their parents’ gardens. To get the children in the spirit of digging in the dirt, and familiar with everything that one can find in the garden, Hill sang “The Itsy-Bitsy Spider” with her young readers.
