WEBUTUCK—A group of mostly seventh- and eighth-grade students turned up at Webutuck’s culinary room for this year’s Empty Bowls fundraiser. Students made black bean chili and corn chowder to serve to teachers in handmade ceramic bowls, made either by the students themselves or local potters, including Diane Shapira, Regina McCoy and Gina Tauro. This was the fifth year the fundraiser was held. The event has raised a total of $5,000 for Doctors Without Borders during the past five years.
