NORTH CANAAN — National Emergency Medical Services Week was recognized last Friday, May 20, at North Canaan Elementary School with a visit by a team of emergency medical technicians and ambulance tours for the students.

It gave the emergency volunteers a chance to talk with children about when it’s appropriate to call an ambulance, what do to when calling 911 and the ways in which EMTs assist and care for the public.
