Millerton Fire Company Carnival, Eddie Collins Memorial Park, North Elm Street (Route 22), Millerton, NY:Aug. 9-12; a different band performs each night from 6 to 10 p.m., and a fireworks display will be held on Aug. 11. The parade takes place on Aug. 12 at 4 p.m., starting on Century Boulevard.

Mount Washington Church Fair, Church of Christ, East St. & Cross Road, Mt. Washington, MA:Aug. 5, 10 am to 3 pm. Admission is free and includes a ticket for door-prize drawings. Raffles and prize drawings begin at 1:30 pm. The top raffle prize will be a quilt designed and hand-stitched by community members.
