Former Pine Plains resident killed in crash

ANCRAM — Ancram resident Michael Wilmarth Mallozzi was killed on Friday, July 1, in a motorcycle accident on Route 82 in Ancram.

Deputy sheriffs determined that Mallozzi had been traveling northbound on Route 82 when he lost control, slid on the road and struck a guardrail. Rescue personnel tried to resuscitate him on the scene, but they were unsuccessful.

Mallozzi was pronounced dead on the scene.

Mallozzi was 29 years old at the time of his death. He attended school in the Pine Plains School District and earned his GED at Dutchess County BOCES.
