Fire prevention taught to students

PINE PLAINS — The Pine Plains middle school held their annual Fire Prevention Day on Friday, May 20. Firefighters from Pine Plains and Milan brought interactive props to teach the students about fire hazards and to show them how to operate a fire extinguisher, how to navigate through a smoke-filled house and what firemen look and sound like when they wear all of their gear. The day was capped off with a school fire drill in the building.
