Derailed train in North Canaan brings in emergency crew

NORTH CANAAN — A train derailment Friday evening, May 13, created a weekend-long spectacle in the center of town. It wasn’t until mid-afternoon Monday that an emergency crew arrived to begin the arduous process of setting a string of railcars back on a siding to be hauled away by the North Canaan-based Housatonic Railroad Company.
