“For the past week, we’ve had a pair of barred owls hunting in the daytime from trees around our house on the side of Canaan Mountain,” reported Alison Orr-Andrawes of Falls Village. “A pair of robins raising a brood on one of the porch lights is quite upset about this. The male robin dive bombs the owl whenever it gets too close, but the owls ignore him and seem more interested in rodent activity on the ground.”
