Adjustments to SCS classes as board eyes budget


SALISBURY — The Board of Education’s proposed budget for the 2011-12 calls for an increase in spending at Salisbury Central School (SCS) of 2.63 percent over this year’s budget.

The proposal was made public at the board’s regular monthly meeting Monday, Feb. 28.

The proposed spending total for 2011-12 at SCS is $4,747,905, up $121,745 from this year.

The budget proposal anticipates a drop in high school tuition. The total regional tuition (which includes the high school, Pupil Services and the regional office) is down $31,644 (1.05 percent) to $2,991,037.
